Professional Sea Salt by Fauna Marin

Water Change Recommendations

Fauna Marin recommends that you change between 5-10% of your total water volume weekly when using their Professional Seal Salt. 

Mixing Instructions

Approximately 0.5 cups of Fauna Marin Professional Sea Salt per 1 US gallon to reach a salinity level of 35-36 PSU, or 39–40 g of Fauna Marin Professional Sea Salt per litre of water to reach a salinity level of 34–35 PSU.

Dissolve the measured quantity of Professional Sea Salt in a clean container, stirring evenly all the time.  It is strongly recommended to add water to your mixing container first, then add the salt to prevent clumping.   To speed up the dissolving process, you can add 10 ml mineral water (sparkling) for every 10 L seawater.  You can use the water once it is clear and the salinity content has been checked.

Despite the extreme care taken during production, individual values may change as a direct result of conditions during transport, of which are beyond anyones control. These are average values that apply to the complete content of the product.

Calcium: 410 - 440 mg/l
Potassium: 380 - 400 mg/l
Sodium: 10,300 - 10,700 mg/l
Chloride: 19,100 - 19,800 mg/l
Sulfate: 2650 - 2750 mg/l
Alkalinity in dKH: 8.0-8.5°
pH value: 8.0-8.4
Strontium: 7.0-9.0 mg/l
